Tribal News

Curbside Pickup: May 21 - 25
 Drop Off: May 29 & 30, 8 am - 4:30pm



11th Annual tree and shrub give away for tribal members sponsored by the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community Natural Resources Committee. 

Plants will be given to tribal members thru a drawing.  There will be a sign-up sheet for tribal members at the Tribal Center front desk. Interested tribal members need to sign up for the drawing between May 7th and June 1st.  The winners will be contacted the week of June 4th.  Plants will be available for pickup the week of June 11th at the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community Natural Resources Department in Pequaming.  Species available are roses, lilacs, blueberry, raspberry, blackberry, potato, onion, tomatoes, peppers, apple, peach, cherry, and pear trees.

The Keweenaw Bay Indian Community has rototillers, logsplitters, weed trimmer, and wood chipper available for tribal member use.  Public Works is housing the equipment in Baraga, please contact Mark Misegan at 201-1702 or Angela at 353-2626 to make arrangements for use.
