February 17, 2012 - Dept. of Health & Human Services and KBIC Tribal Council are pleased to announce the services of Dr. Sherry Gilliland, Pediatrician, (pronounced gilly - land) at the KBIC Medical Center. Hours will be Wednesday mornings, from 8:00 - 12:00 and Thursday afternoons from 12:30 - 4:30. Spread the word...and get your appointment(s) set up today!

Please register your child at the Patient Registration office for all visits, and be sure to bring proof of insurance, birth and tribal enrollment information for first visit. Stop by Patient registration to update all information on each visit!

If you are transferring care from another provider, you will need to obtain a consent for release of information from the clinic your child is currently at to transfer the records here. Any questions please call 906.353.8700

February 2, 2012 - The Keweenaw Bay Indian Community's Beartown Wildland Firefighting program is  recruiting new firefighters for the 2012 fire season. Interested applicants should download and fill out the application. They may be turned in to any fire committee member. Deadline for applications is 2/22/12. Basic training is scheduled for Feb. 27 - March 3rd. 6pm-10pm M-F and 8am-6pm on Satruday. A pre-employment drug test is required.
