Mission Statement

KBIC Youth Program


Our vision for the KBIC Youth is to increase opportunities for youth and mentoring programming, to ensure that that our youth are involved and successful in school, home and in the community. We will do this by implementing programs that allow a variety of activities for all interests, while promoting knowledge in traditional skills, ethics, and pride in our Ojibwa culture.


KBIC Youth Program Activity Fund

 Criteria

 Effective October 1, 2006

Youth must be a member or descendant of an enrolled member, to qualify.

Each fiscal year, an amount is designated by the KBIC Tribal Council, for each child, age 0-17.  The amount is currently $125.00.   

It is the parent/guardian responsibility to keep track of how much is spent for each child. 

You must submit a receipt for all funding reimbursements. 

Requests that will be paid must fall under the criteria listed below:

·       Organized extracurricular activity fees, athletic fees, in or out of school. (Example – basketball, gymnastics, skating, hockey, skiing, swimming, football, etc.);

·       Athletic equipment, to be used for team sports;

·       Sports, bible and culture camps;

·       School-related activities, such as:  Band, Youth in Government, Driver’s Education, and school pictures;

·       School clothes

Please submit receipts, with designation of which the receipt is for, to the Youth Director.  The Youth Director will make out the requisition form, and send it to accounting for processing.
